Not much is know at the moment. Heck, then isn’t a press release yet. But if this youtube video of the Trackmania 2 announcement I saw is true. And the bits and pieces I have been able to gather from another video. Trackmania 2 is a huge next step for the Trackmania Series. I’ll keep you updated when I get more info about this.

Yep, Steve Jobs is officaly back to work at Apple after his 6-month medical leave.  Apple has said today:

“Steve Jobs is back to work. He is at Apple a few days a week and working from home the other days,” Apple spokesman Steve Dowling said. “We’re glad to have him back.”

Jobs went on medical leave back in December of last year. So he could better focous on his health.  And underwent a liver transplant surgery back in April.

I’m personaly glad to hear that Steve Jobs is ok and back on the job. Now maybe Jobs can get working on the rumored Apple Tablet thats been swirling around the web.

Well here it is, The First Unboxing Video for Useless Site of Technology. And it also the official video for the site. (There was a video made before this. Back in last September that I uploaded. But lets just say there is a reason why it was never made it to the site)

In this video, I am unboxing a LG Flare from Virgin Mobile. The LG Flare is your almost normal Run-of-the-Mill entry level phone. The phone’s is a flip phone style. That is moderately thin for a entry level phone.

Some of the Phones features are:

- Bluetooth

- dedicated web button on keypad

- speaker phone

- voice dialing

The LG Flare shown in this video is the black model. There is also a Sliver model and a Pink model available from Virgin Mobile.

You can find the LG Flare at most stores or online retailers for $25 to $30 depending where you shop.

A full review will come later in a week or two. This will give me time to properly evaluate the phone and it’s features.

Well earlier this week at GDC. A new game Service called OnLive brings Cloud-Computing to PC gaming.

OnLive has been secretly in the works for 7 years and was just announced this year at GDC. And already, a few big name developers have already starting to embrace the new service. The guys at OnLive say that the service will allow any base PC or Mac to play games Crysis and Burnout Paradise at full res. But how can such computers run those games so well? Well the game is run on one of OnLive’s may servers which then streamed to the user PC.  And then the user controls the game from his or hers PC. It’s very confusing to explain with more detail. And for those who want to play the games on the TV. OnLive have also announced the Onlive MircoConsole.

Just hook your ethernet cable into the MircoConsole and use either MircoConsole Controller. Or use a USB Gamepad or USB Keyboard/Mouse.

OnLive is set for a Winter 09 release. But External Beta will being in the Summer. With registering for the Beta going on right now. I’ve already registered for the Beta so lets hope I get in when the time Comes. I want to see if OnLive really works as they say it does.

Well a few days ago. Craig, the lead dev on the Pandora put up a new video. In the Video, we get to see the first Fully Assembled Pandora. Now it’s a Near-Final unit so there are still a few changes to be made. Also in the video, we get to see the Pandora D-Pad being used along with the keypad.

Well guys, It’s about time I do a site re-boot. I’ve had enough letting this site just sit and waste away. This site has the possiblity to became quite large. I just need to get my butt into gear and make it happen. Expect some great stuff to come!

For a long time now within the the community. They have been wanting to see the Pandora run the distro of Linux that the Open Pandora guys have chose. What’s the distro they chose, Angström.
Well yesterday, EvilDragon had shown a video of Angström running non optimized with Full Desktop Mode enabled. And navigating the menus and using the apps with the now working touch screen on one of the Pandora MK2 Devboard.
Now the OS runs a little slow at the moment. Partly due to he’s for now booting off a Single speed SD card. And that he has not optimized the OS yet.

Some other good news for the Pandora, they also have the prototype of the Keypad in too. So it seems that every thing is starting to come togeather.

You heard me right. The major News giant CNN used a Hologram LIVE on the air. They did a report LIVE from New York to Chicago via Hologram. The person that was the hologram was CNN’s Jessica Yellin. Not much was said on how the setup worked. But it involves 35 Hi-Def cameras that were ringing around her at different angles. And the cameras in New York tell the cameras in Chicago where they are pointing. Telling the cameras in Chicago where to move. Therefore transmitting what appears to be a whole body. Not much else was said on how the set up worked. CNN’s Jessica Yellin said that this is the first time this technology has been used on Live television.

Now don’t be fooled, I have made this site to be devoted to talking about Technology and video games.  But this issue is something that I can not ingnore.  It’s 4 days till Halloween. And most lost of people are stocking up on all kinds of candy to give out to Trick-or-treaters. But how many of you guys know that some of the candy your buying could be from China. And it could be tainted with Melamine and other Toxins. Stuff that could harm you and childern. Just like Mike Mozzart is saying. I’m saying people spread the word. Contact as many people you can on this matter. We need these candys recalled and taken off the shelfs NOW. And not have them put them back on the shelfs untill every single one has been tested and deemed either safe or not safe. And remember, it’s only 4 days till Halloween. And trust me, if no action is taken. These made in china candys are going to be give to kids and other Trick-or-treaters on Halloween. So spread the word and spread it quickly!

Nintendo has just announced a new DS today called the DSi as part of the DS line. As some have expected, they dropped the GBA slot. But in doing so, it gained another touch screen, giving the DS two touch screens now. They also gave it better sounding speakers. It’s a tad bit smaller than the DS Lite in size since they dropped the GBA slot. But here the kicker, it also come with a 2 cameras built in. The one camera  on top of the DS is a three megapixel camera. And there is a front-facing camera on the hinge. It will also have a free browser app available too. 

The DSi is set to be released in Japan on November 1’st. And to be released everywhere else sometime next year.
